San Marino - Espresso Machine Review - A New Look at Classic Classics -2

The Italian side of the northeast is picturesque in November. Autumn has arrived, and while many days are characterized by blue skies that contrast with the yellowed leaves on the vine, the evenings are cold, clean and lively.

About 45 minutes north of the Venice Canal, it is the small village of Susegana. This city is located right on the slopes, which begin to depart from the coastal plains up into the mountains behind. Susegana is located in the Treviso area, famous for its Prosecco wines, Benetton headquarters, the Ryan Air stopover for Venice, and perhaps the most important to become the home of CMA, the makers of San Marino espresso machines.

The espresso machine, started by Mr. Nello Del Tio, is still managed by the family. Until last year, cars were manufactured in several buildings located along one of the main roads to the city. All cars were 100% made by hand, lovingly assembled on carts that were lined up on small rails around the complex. In January 2007, the factories were merged into a new state-of-the-art complex, still in Susegan. The new complex built an assembly under one roof and added space for advanced educational institutions, as well as more areas for technical people. A lot of machines are still assembled at the plant, but in some cases computers were installed for logistics, dispatching and testing / quality control.

One of the most popular car lines is the classic San Marino Lisa. This machine has curves, stainless steel trim and, of course, quality in producing perfect steam pressure and shot quality, making it a favorite in New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Asia and the Middle East. The car can be seen in cafes in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Auckland, Jakarta, Bangkok and Dubai. This is a workhorse for names such as Black Canyon Coffee and Costa Coffee.

Recently, San Marino-Lisa was recently modernized and re-launched under the name “San Marino & R # R should be redesigned, but the machines retain their shape and curves, but take on such modern needs as raised groups, new designs for pre-infusion, and in the case of electronic SME models - temperature control for the boiler, automatic latte manufacturer, automatic foaming agent and various shot controls (up to 6 per group, excluding the auto-selector, which can add 6 more options through 1 of the pp)

The semi-automatic model retains most of the classic functions, with the update being limited to groups, the rocker switches are replaced with durable buttons and, of course, some changes in the body.

The parameters of the machine, available to the owner of the cafe, are endless. Semi-auto (SMAT) and auto (SME) are in 1-4 groups. By special request large blocks can be built. When leaving Rome Airport, a beautiful 4 classic SMAT with copper trim offers gourmet coffee in the Tazza d or Cafe. For many tourists, this is the last memory of Italy - a fantastic espresso served from a classic, timeless machine. Excellent.
