Roller Blading is a great, fun way to workout, enjoying the magnificent scenery of tropical Florida. Blading imposes less on your joints and allows you to enjoy longer excursions than escape can allow. Having just returned home after living in the cold of New England, I decided to look at the top 5 best spots for a video in the area in order to get the right combination of ice and fun landscapes.
After extensive research, I came across 5 very different and unique paths:
1. Pinellas Trail - the longest trail in Pinellas County
2. Fort Desoto - a breathtaking view of the water, sunlight, and you can even see a manatee or two.
3. Skyway Trail
4. Old Gandhi Bridge (friendship paths bridge)
5. Upper Tampa Bay Trail
These top 5 roller skating spots are spacious, extensive and have a stunning landscape along the way. If you are looking for a long trail or a short route - everything in Tampa Bay has everything you need. Pinellas Trail is the most popular trail in the area. It has many vendors and irrigation holes on the way to satisfy your hottest and most humid weather conditions.
In my research, I also found a really excellent group that gathers every Sunday morning for Roller Blade’s various excursions around the bay. The Sunday Bladers Group is an energetic group that takes the commercials seriously.
There are many options; but always remember to wear safety gear when rolling rollers. Return the camel so that you have a constant supply of H2O.
