Over the years, I lost track of how many Powerpoint presentations I created. They are so easy to make, and they are a great way to get your message.
I taught a lot of great tips for Powerpoint, so I decided to share some of my favorites in this article.
Copy from Excel to Powerpoint
How many times have you tried to include an Excel spreadsheet in one of the Powerpoint presentations? Disappointment is wrong. The cells do not seem to line up correctly or not all spreadsheets seem to be copied.
Do you know about the "Copy Image" function in Excel?
Just hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys. Then hold down the key and click on the “Edit” menu on the Excel toolbar. You will now see the Copy Picture option. Thanks to this you can easily copy the table. You can choose what you see on the screen or in the print area.
Transition from CAPS to lower case in PowerPoint.
If you need to change the text of the text on Powerpoint slides, simply select the text and press Shift + F3. The text will be switched through ALL CAPS, lower case letters and the first letter in Caps.
Move objects to PowerPoint.
Did you know that you can move objects around using the arrow keys? Simply select an object and then use any of the arrow keys to move up, down, left, or right.
If you hold down the Ctrl key at the same time, it moves the object a very short distance. Great for fine-tuning slides.
PowerPoint hotkeys.
Here are a few shortcuts for PowerPoint.
Ctrl + Shift +> Increase font size
Ctrl + Shift + Hiding screens in PowerPoint
Have you ever wanted to hide the current PowerPoint screen during a presentation? Perhaps you have a presentation ready to go, but you don’t want people to see the first screen until you start.
To hide the screen during a presentation, simply press W or B, W will give you a plain white screen and B will give you a plain black screen. Pressing the key again will take you back to the original slide.
