You can always make sure that your woolen rugs look great by making sure that you keep your favorite hair with you and take care of it properly. Here are some tips on how they look amazing.
Basic care
The way you care for carpets is largely determined by the size of the rug, and also what it is made of and even how it is made. For large area carpets, you can take care of them in the same way as a carpet that is wall-mounted.
• Remove hair for pets. Evacuation does not always get all the hair. You can use a stiff brush to remove hair. Just brush in the same direction as the sleep of your carpet.
• Turn them. The movement of the sun and legs can mean additional stress on the mats. Make sure you turn them a couple of times a year to even wear.
• Shake small floor mats. If you have a rug that is small enough, just take it outside and beat or shake it to remove grit and dirt. Check your local codes, because in some areas there are ordinances about it.
Cleaning mats by type
When you have a special type of rug, you will need to clean it in a special way. If you keep the care tags on the rugs, it can save you from their destruction when you try to clean them. For cleaning special rugs try these tips.
• Sisal, coconut, grass and ripe mats. Rugs made from natural fibers, for example, have an open weave that can allow dirt to see through them to the floor below them. Vacuum them often and make sure you also vacuum them. Many of the carpets made from these types of fibers are reversible. If yours, flip it every time you vacuum it so that it wears evenly.
• Fur, wool and wool carpets. Shake some loose talc on these carpets and leave them for a few hours. Then simply rub the powder through the hair before shaking it. Do this several times depending on how long the fur, hair, etc.
