Branson Vacations - Travel Tips to best keep a secret in the Midwest -2

I consider myself a professional traveler in Branson. I could also pay taxes in the city, since I am there so much. As a child, my family traveled to this exciting destination almost every year. For several years I studied at Branson for several years, but for the last seven years I have been at Branson Buffet.

From memory I can read the names of almost every show in the city. I can direct you to any theater, regardless of the location. And you better believe that I have a strong opinion about every show and attraction in the city. Yes, I'm a 28-year-old Branson fanatic.

Key facts

If you've never traveled to Branson, you can ask yourself what exactly makes Branson, Missouri so special. It is in the middle of nowhere, and yet it is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the country.

In fact, Branson is special for many reasons. While Branson seems to be in the middle of nowhere, he is actually everywhere. Branson is one of the most popular destinations in America. Since it is located in the almost geographical center of the United States, it is a convenient place for most of the country. Although there are a few people who fly to Springfield / Branson Regional Airport, most of the millions of visitors will travel to the city.

This actually creates one of the most unpleasant situations in Branson. Traffic can be a nightmare. Branson was not intended for major traffic. In 1980, there was a major growth spurt in the city and its road system literally outgrew it. At least 75% of tourist sites are directly connected to HWY 76. This is the main artery that runs, or should I say, crawls around the city. The city tried to ease some of the traffic through well-marked alternative routes. Most of the traffic still uses 76 exclusively. If this is your first time in Branson, I would advise you to drive a “strip” (HWY 76) a couple of times to study the whole area, then get a free map from any screen of the brochure and explore alternative routes. You will save time, and this may be the only way to get to the show in time.

It's almost impossible to believe until you have experienced it, but traffic in Branson, starting in the middle of the day, is worse than rush hour in any city in the country. Movement is measured in inches, not feet.

To give you a good idea, I would like to share one experience that I had in July 2004. My wife and I stopped at the Branson Old Center, which is located in the far east of HWY 76, not far from the intersection of HWY 65 and HWY 76. We had plans to see the “Spirit of Dance” in the Branson Variety Theater. BV Theater is located right in the middle of the strip, but less than 4 miles from our hotel. The show started at 8:00 pm. We decided to leave at 17:00 so that we had time to have dinner on the way and still get to the show on time. At 7:15 pm we did not eat dinner, and we were still a mile from the theater. The movement did not move. In short, at 8:05 pm we finally fell into the parking lot at the cinema and entered the show after it had already begun. We had to eat after the show, shortly before.

The next evening we saw Cirque at the Remington Theater, which is all the way across the city. We still left at 5:00 pm at this time 8:00 pm, but this time we used alternative routes and got to the theater before 6:00 pm. We had plenty of time to stroll through the local shops and have dinner before the show.

Tip number 1: Do not waste precious vacation time - use alternative routes!

Don't let traffic keep you away from Branson. Honestly, it's just part of the fun. There are many more reasons for Branson.

The Ozark Mountains and the Mountains are another reason to visit Branson. No, you will not see the heights and grandeur of the Rocky Mountains, but you are still surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Ozarks prides itself on its charm and low tempo. You can come to Branson, waiting for shows and rides, and eventually enjoy the nature trails of the Mark Twain National Forest or play in the waters of one of the two pristine lakes surrounding the city. Ozarks - the dream of nature lovers.

Board number 2: Spend time to enjoy the Ozarks - they are FREE appeal!

In Branson, honestly something for everyone. Many cities will say this, but Branson can support this demand. Adults and older people will surely find a few shows that they like. With over 100 shows to choose from, there will be one for each person in the group. But the city has a lot of musical, magic and comedy shows with high energy, which detain children and teenagers. There are also several amusement parks and water parks, including Silver Dollar City and White Water. In the next part of the column, I will get more actual sights, so look for more information in other parts of the column.

Branson Show, Theater and Tickets

Let's take a look at what made Branson famous - shows and theaters
You will arrive at Branson to overload the media. There are over 50 different theaters in Branson. In most theaters several different shows are held throughout the day. The largest artists will perform from 8:00 pm, but this does not mean that morning and evening shows are secondary. In most cases, they are just as good. Regardless of whether you are looking for a headliner or not, there are over 100 shows to keep you busy in the city.
Branson’s whole passion started with just a few shows. Rustic Anniversary Presley and Lamboree Baldknobbers. Both of these countries and comedy shows are still strong today, 40-50 years later. They are one of the most popular shows in the city for a good reason. Every evening they show a quality show, and their fans return year after year.

If you enjoy the music in the country and the gospel filed along the ridiculous comedy, then you will find your place in Branson. Next to the two shows already mentioned there are many other genres throughout the city. Some of the other popular ones include Pierce Arrow, Grand Jubilee, and Braschler.

Another major show category in the city can be grouped as family shows. This does not mean that they are intended for the whole family, because it will describe almost the entire show in Branson. By family show, I mean most of the actors, and sometimes the crew from the same family. Duttons, Haygoods, Lowes, Hughes and Brett Family, just to mention a few. All these families mix their amazing harmonies to create some of the best and most touching shows in the city.

Impersonators are another important show group in the city. Tony Roy is one of the most famous Elvis imperialists in the world. He has his own show, and he also occasionally performs with The Legends Live in Concert, which also has a popular show in the city. You will also find the shows of Hank Williams and Patsy Kline. One that I personally highly recommend is a full comedy show called “A Tribute to Red Skelton”.

There are several Broadway shows that prove that Branson has it all. You can see Joseph and the Amazing Technocolor Snottor, Circus, Spirit of Dance and even off Broadway shows such as touching and funny, Smoke On The Mountain.

Then Branson is also famous for a wide category of shows that are designed to fit your family. These shows are designed to fascinate children and amaze adults. This group includes everything from comedians to magicians. Starting with the magicians, you will find some huge shows with great illusions in the Grand Illusion, Darren Romeo and The Varner Variety Show. If magic is none of your business, as for Chinese acrobats, a pet comedy theater, a rebound from a basketball show or even a lively family game show called Hot Seat.

If you remember the 20th and 30th, 50th, 60th or 70th - indeed, for a decade you will be able to tour the memory strip. You can spend 50 pieces on a hop or get stuck in the 70s. You can even ride a motown.

By this time, you are probably hungry. We can't forget the dinner shows. Of course, Dixie Stampede with his horses and stampede is the biggest show in the city, but you can also enjoy a rib-steak while watching lumberjacks compete at the Tall Timber Lumberjack Show. If you want to take a world tour on Lake Rock Lake, the Prime Rib Dinner Show at the Showboat Branson Belle is unsurpassed. You can also enjoy a delicious Western barbecue at the dinner show in the B Chuckwagon Circle. If you like music while eating, try the White House Theater or catch the Bob Anderson exhibit. You will not leave hungry, and you will get a show to download.

And last but not least: headliners. In the mid-1980s, there were many well-known artists who moved to Branson and opened theaters. Some of them are still here and they show amazing shows. If you remember Andy Williams, Ray Stevens, Jim Stafford, Mickey Gilly, Mel Tillis, Gatlin Brothers, Pam Tillis or Roy Clark, you will like to see them in Branson. Today in the Grand Palace are the hottest performers. Tim McGraw is not uncommon to be on the stage for one week, and Jeff Foxworthy should appear next week.

Branson also created his own headliners. Shoji Tabuchi's modest play is one of the most popular performers in Branson, and he no doubt has richly decorated bathrooms in Branson. Other artists, such as Moe Bandy, Doug Gabriel and Paul Harris, have made a name for themselves in this difficult city.

I didn't even try to mention the whole show in Branson. In fact, I did not even begin to scratch the surface. Performers and venues change all the time, so some of the shows mentioned may disappear by the time this article ends.

I urge you to use sites like Branson Critic and the Branson Lake Chamber of Commerce website to find shows that your family will love. Branson Critic has many exhibitions reviews. Normal people like you write all the reviews. They saw the show and wrote a review. This is a great way to decide which shows to watch.

Another great way to find a good show in the city is to ask the receptionist at your hotel or the waitress who served your dinner. Locals know which shows must see and which shows should be avoided. You can even talk to the person sitting next to you on the show. Find out what they saw and what they thought. You could even make a friend.

Council number 3: Brochures do not tell the whole story - ask the locals to find out the truth about what shows must see.

It would be the right time to talk about ticket prices. Branson exhibitions are not cheap. If you look very hard, you will find a couple of shows with the price of admission up to 15 dollars. There are a few more in the range of $ 18 to $ 22, but most tickets for tickets are at least $ 25 for an adult ticket. Dinner shows even more.

You will find coupons in free magazines throughout the city. With their help, you can save a couple of dollars for a ticket. Check out the brochure racks for coupons.

Perhaps you even have a timeshare company offering you free tickets. This is an option worth considering, but I will explain in the last article.

There is another way to save on tickets. You can check eBay tickets at Branson. I bought them there before. I paid less than half the price. This method requires a little more effort, but it can save you a lot of money.

I hope that some of these basic travel tips for Branson will benefit you and your family.
