Reasonable reasoning must be developed. We must make some effort. There are many things that go into mental abilities. Like any other skill, it is important that we have the tools to make a product. Reasonable skills become better with proper practice. Since we use the principles presented in this article, we can understand the reasoning very well. This is not just for intellectuals. Anyone who wants to follow the recommendations in this article can do it. We can all improve our judicious skills.
Here are some guidelines for developing our mental abilities:
1. Be prepared to change old thought processes. We all accepted ideas that, in our opinion, were true, only to find out later that they were wrong. This does not mean that we should be suspicious of all our thoughts. Most of us work very well. However, we all have thoughts that need some work on them to draw their attention to the facts around us.
2. Work to maintain good health. We need to maintain good health in all three areas of our lives. 1. Our physical tears must be protected. It keeps no illnesses. This is a completely new area. There are ten teams for good health. I outlined them in my article on health. 2. Our soul needs must be met. It is connected with our will, emotions, control (how much we want and how much we want to give). The field of emotions is connected with our feelings. What are we passionate about? 3. Our needs of the spirit must be met. This is the realm of faith of our being. This is where salvation from sin is so important through the Lord Jesus Christ. Without a personal relationship with our God-Creator-Redeemer, we find ourselves in our mental faculties. Respect for God is the beginning to seek true knowledge and wisdom. All three of these areas must be kept in good condition so that we have good reasoning skills. "The end of the team is love from a pure heart, a good conscience and unshakable faith." - See 1 Timothy 1: 5.
3. Develop our senses of sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. This is especially important when it comes to using the inductive side of a logic circuit. This is the area where we come into contact with the real world. This is the area where we are doing real science against "the science that is falsely so-called" There are limitations on each of our senses. There are ways to overcome these limitations with various tools. When using these tools we need to keep records of our observations. The reason we do this is to compare them with our other observations and share our findings with others.
4. Do mental exercises. Working problems that make us think is a good way to keep our minds working. We could do clever teasing problems. Math problems that have many steps will help. Playing chess is another way to keep our mind working. Doing what is a challenge for us is a good way to preserve the health of our minds.
5. Do not follow the crowd. Be prepared to think out of the box. If we are going to do our own thinking, we must be ready to “think about God's thoughts.” The Bible calls it the "Christ mind." This will put us "ahead of the pack." Too many of us let everyone else think about us. This is a sure way to "eradicate" our brains. We can help people better if we want to be leaders.
6. Build a compass and a roadmap to chart our course. Most of us are surprised to find that it can help in the development of intelligent mental abilities. Some of us want to be "free thinkers." Most of us know that there is no such thing as a “free thinker.” We all have our plans, which we carry out with us in all areas of our life. This is a bold statement! Science without the use of guidelines for our moral and spiritual well-being, found in God's Word, the Bible, is an "insane science." Without the light of the Bible, we can get lost in the tunnel, being "educated for no reason."
7. Function in all three areas of our life at the same time. These are areas of faith, symbol and intuition. Most of us have never seen this before. You can put them together like a triangle, with each corner being one of these areas. On all three sides of this triangle there are arrows going in both directions. Faith is what we think is true. The symbol is the physical side that functions out of our five senses. Intuition is how we relate to our reality. Here are some examples. 1. When we move from symbol to intuition, we communicate with our physical reality. 2. When we go from intuition to faith, we experience our reality through our feelings.
This is not an extensive list of recommendations that will help us in our good reasoning skills. When we use these recommendations, we will discover others. If we do this consistently, we will be well on our way to developing our good reasoning skills. May the Lord God of Glory bless and help us when we cooperate with Him to take possession of our planet for His glory.
