Why does Denver need parking? -2

Denver needs to solve one important problem: parking. Have you noticed that two cars can no longer pass through the lane? The streets are crowded with cars on both sides. It can be a real hassle to pull in to allow another person in many of the narrower streets. The Denver Center is doing everything possible to work on this issue, but they cannot address individual family homes.

Until a few years ago, traffic and parking in Denver were occasionally a hassle, but not as bad as cities like Washington, DC or Manhattan. Although there is a lot of noise associated with the legalization of marijuana that occurred in Colorado, our real estate market was still quite cheap (until recently) compared to California and New York. In addition, work in the field of IT and biotechnology has led to the prosperity of wealthy employees in the area, with a significantly higher power expenditure than a lower salary / career in the city. In some areas, residents must obtain a special permit to simply park on their street so that they do not get a ticket or even towed. As cities grow, as does the parking problem, from the city center to the suburbs.

The population of Denver continues to grow at a rapid pace. Currently, just over 3 million people live in the Denver area, and it's safe to say that the population will continue to grow. The ever-growing number of people and vehicles is equivalent to the need for parking, not only in the center of Denver, but throughout the neighborhood. Civil engineering projects tend to lag behind current construction by several decades due to the huge project costs and the votes on which projects have priority. With this in mind, we need a more efficient way to accommodate the entire tributary, which is still being projected into the area.

In many suburban areas of Denver, there are narrow alleles between the streets to accommodate the small amounts of traffic that has taken place. In some areas, there is never enough street parking, and even people who live on the street may not always get the parking space they prefer when they come home from work. In the suburbs you cannot expect the city to take care of these problems. These are families that should solve the problem themselves. Fortunately, we have other options here in Denver that allow us to save our favorite Open Spaces, parks and other beautiful natural environments.

There are many newly built structures that have the properties of a shop on the ground floor and the residence above, with garages built into the basement levels. Despite the fact that this is a big initial attempt to cope with new needs for parking, parking and space occupy approximately 20% of the Denver landscape. This is usually an eye sore, not to mention a huge waste of real estate. We need to more effectively solve our problems. This multitasking space can be used on a smaller scale.

Many suburban neighborhoods in Denver transform and / or thin out old, smaller houses into modern ones. Why not design your new home with a garage below? If you have the ability to dig, why not start - literally - from the very beginning - create a space that works best for the limited space that you have? If you dig more space below the house that will be created soon, this is simply not an option, try planning your lot so that you can at least place the number of cars your house needs at full capacity to help the whole community reduce the number of cars you need park on the street. By providing part of the solution, each of us can collectively help achieve a better level of traffic / reduce congestion in the future.
