Traveling around Turkey - the top 10 attractions you don’t want to miss! -2

Turkey is a fascinating, exotic country, a gate between East and West, an energetic combination of tradition, modernity, leisure and adventure. Here's a run to the top 10 destinations in this still undiscovered destination ...

1. Istanbul

Istanbul is a fantastic, vibrant city, full of culture, history, art and fashion, geographically divided by European and Asian continents. From the chic shopping streets of Taksim and Beyoglu to the reverent domes and the magnificent minarets of Sultanahmet, the city will capture your heart, deceiving you with its charms. Visit the Byzantine churches and Ottoman palaces during the day, as well as wine and dine in the most fashionable restaurants and clubs at night.

2. Cappadocia

Take a look high above the volcanic landscape of Cappadocia and admire the surreal magic chimneys and lush green valleys in a giant balloon. Then go underground to experience the underground secret cities of Cappadocia. Visit the open-air museum and view the carved and painted churches hidden in the walls of the valley.

3. Ephesus

Explore the ruins of Ephesus, the world's best classical Roman city. For history and biblical fans, expand your experience in the nearest residence of the Virgin Mary. The site was visited and blessed by two dads. The seven churches of the Apocalypse, of which Ephesus has one, are also located in the area.

4. Pamukkale

Explore the ruins of the ancient thermal resort of Hieropolis, created by the Romans, who loved to “take water” in these white terraced pools. Feel yourself in the healing waters of Pamukkale on your own, and again activate the mineral-rich historical limestone pool.

5. Bodrum

Whitewashed houses, crystal blue sea, fragrant jasmine flowers. That is why Bodrum is so popular among vacationers. Sun, sea, sand and the nightlife non-stop, the Bodrum peninsula gives Greece to run for their money! (And much softer on your wallet!)

6. Fethiye

Fethiye is an attractive city and a good place to start popular trips on Blue Cruise yachts. Those who want to relax will enjoy the Mediterranean cruise and the Aegean coast on a luxurious Turkish yacht, in order to explore the caves and coves along the way.

7. Antalya

A modern city built around a fully renovated marina that looked like Antony and Cleopatra! Bright restaurants and open-air clubs, a charming old town surrounded by ancient walls (Kaleici), two popular beaches, an interesting museum and magnificent waterfalls and impressive ruins nearby! We could go on and on, but you really need to experience it for yourself.

8. Olympos

The final scene. Olympos, located in a steep valley filled with ruins that opens onto a beautiful turquoise bay, is popular with families and tourists. Stay in well-kept wooden houses or air-conditioned bungalows. Spend your days on the beach and the nights by visiting the “eternal flame”, which mysteriously burns on the mountain side or in the open air an orange bar hidden in its own valley. As stated in the brochures: “Come one day, stay for a week!”

9. Safranbolu

This UNESCO-protected monument has won several awards for its sensitive restoration and authentic atmosphere, which it has preserved. Even today, visitors can see demonstrations of traditional Ottoman craftsmanship that are still practiced.

10. Mt. Nemrut

The latter is listed because it is best kept in Turkey. Watch the sun rise on the huge stone carved heads of past kings (an earthquake shakes heads from colossal statues centuries ago). This area is culturally rich and welcoming to visitors. The best part, (for travelers who make the effort) Mt. Nemrut sees fewer tourists than beach regions.
