Steelhead Fishing in Riggins, Idaho -2

I was able to make another short trip to Riggins Idaho on Wednesday, which I knew before I left, that fishing would be tough, but I just needed to leave for a while. With high pressures and cold nights, we expected even more optimism on my part.

The trip down from New Meadows was relaxing, and I was glad to see how much snow lay on my way down. There were a lot of deer and elk, and it is always nice to see them. If you have good binoculars or an aiming sight, and you want to see a real pleasant bullish stop in the recreation area only on this side of the Rapid River and look to the west, there will be a good good bull, and it is worth to stop and look if you like Elk. He has not dropped the horns, that will happen soon.

Anyway, before fishing in a steel boat, I only caught two short-bar openings and in a park in Riggins. I notice that in each of the holes there were several rolls of steel head, but getting hit turned out to be another story that you know how Steelhead either recovers or not. Well, as I suspected, they weren't with the weather. It was a good day on the river, although the wind was very bright, and the sun was shining, and in fact it was quite warm. I tried all my tricks, hoping to get lucky, and when I received the first blow, I watched some deer on a steel head hill with one fisherman 0 (# 1- The rule will be ready! Opps !!)

I caught fish for about an hour and a half before switching to a small Crappie jig several times using these small tools to produce fish. After fishing with this for about thirty minutes, I got hit and caught the steel headgear, I knew that this little jig means I need to be careful after I fought the fish for a few minutes. I was sure that I was going to win the battle, and then it looked like someone was throwing stones at him, he turned and headed back to the Ocean, and no matter what I tried, he was going. Well, it didn't take long for the light hook on this jig to straighten up, and now the bill has become a Steelhead 2 0 fisherman.

I fished for about an hour, but I never had another hit. I hope that this weekend I will return to it in the rain, when a rainstorm is approaching it, it is better to fish until the wind stops.

See you later
