Magnetic Therapy - Treatment and Supporting Measures -2

As many of us know, if we exercise too hard, we feel lactic acid. From this we feel that our muscles are cramped, we become stiff and tired, especially the next day. This is due to pH imbalance. Most of the basic magnetic therapy (therapy using magnets) has much in common with massage, but without pressure. It is said that it increases blood flow and helps to remove toxins due to this increase in movement, which contributes to quick recovery.

With this in mind, it is easy to understand how, with the help of magnetic therapy, the chances of injury are drastically reduced if the muscles, joints, blood circulation and ligaments gradually warm up to use. Similarly, soothing and supporting these areas, where we can after exercise, prevails at the onset of stiffness and helps speed recovery if the muscles are overstressed.

Many riders in competitions use various methods of magnetic therapy after the competition, while the horses are in the stable on the way home. Magnetic floor mats, magnetic boots and head collars are very effective, helping the horse out of the box less stiff.

Thermography is a method used to measure the temperature of a tendon. Tests were carried out to measure the temperature of the tendon in horses wearing boots with magnetic therapy. These studies * showed that after the 12-hour period there was no significant difference in leg temperature between the body that wore the boot and the control limb without shoes. However, after 24 hours, the results were final. A total increase of 2 degrees C in the limp had a magnetic boot, compared to control of the control limb. Even after the boot was removed, the temperature continued to remain 1 degree C higher in the treated limb after 1 hour.

After successful studies in humans showing that using magnetic therapy benefits delayed fractures, it is suggested that horses with arthritis also use magnetic therapy. It was shown that the use of pulsed electromagnetic therapy significantly reduces the healing time for involuntary fractures. This principle can be applied to horses with arthritis. Pulsed electromagnet therapy is not only effective for bone tissue; Many physiotherapists believe that impulses can penetrate soft tissue. This can be very useful when the injury has occurred deep in the muscles of horses or in areas where manipulation is too painful. It is recommended that impulse magnets be used by trained therapists.

As mentioned, magnetotherapy, like massage, stimulates blood circulation, bringing with it oxygen-rich blood that helps healing. Along with this nutrient rich blood comes without anesthesia. This becomes all the more important that we become competitive when illegal drugs are banned. Magnets are used to aim acupuncture points, benefiting the horse, providing healing and pain relief without using needles.

In addition to this form of therapy, it is important to protect the horses with right riding clothing, which can be found in places such as Anything Equine.

There are many people who believe that magnets as a method of therapy are embarrassing, however, although the final data is still accumulating, there are many experts who recognize that there is very little harm that magnetic therapy can do, even if it may not give any real benefit. There are only a few situations where magnets should not be used.

They should be avoided on the untreated areas of infection, on open wounds, when training, if the horse has a pin / plate in the area for the first 48 hours after injury to horses diagnosed with cancer or until the diagnosis is received by a veterinarian,
