Lake Como is a natural lake that was raised for irrigation purposes. Now they have created a wonderful recreation area in the vicinity, as well as a new reservoir. Here you can go boating, hiking, cycling, interpreting routes, swimming, fishing, steed and using as a base camp to explore the Selway-Bitterroot desert.
It is often used as a starting point for separation hunting in Idaho because it is only 20 miles from the state border. Due to the intense effort of the backcountry rider, the trails and campgrounds were gracefully maintained. Equestrian camping is the only garage available west of Mississippi. It was built in 1993.
There are three equestrian campsites, an RV and a tent with different prices. Although, fees are not charged out of season, when the mountains surrounding this area are filled with snow. The park has nearly a dozen mountain biking and hiking trails, ranging from a circular trail of a lake (10 miles) to short interpretation paths.
Do not forget about horses with long deserts that are more than 100 miles long to pack horses. All over the world there are sources of water in the form of pipes. But fill in before you go on the trail. Groups can rent a bathroom "tree" per night. This is impressive, but come in advance when it is filled at the beginning of the year.
There is a beautiful beach area for swimming and sunbathing. The view of the big mountains above the head is cooled, and the water too! Wildlife abounds, including bears, but everything seems to remain clean, so do the same, and there should be no problems.
In the season, a recreation area is a project for testing recreational fees. All vehicles parked in the rest area must display a valid rest point. Daily passes per car or based on season. Daytime passes are available on Lake Como, and daytime or seasonal passes are available in the Darby Ranger area or in shopping centers.
