 Violations in basketball - the 7 most common violations -2

Violation is a violation of the rules. The team that committed the offense is punished by awarding the ball to the opposing team. The following are the most common violations committed in the game of basketball.

1. Ball outside limits

As a rule, the ball goes out of bounds when it binds a player or any person who is out of bounds; a floor or any object located above or beyond the boundary line; and a shield or any object over the playing field.

2. Dribbling

Dribble is the movement of a live ball, caused by a player controlling a ball that throws the ball or throws the ball on the floor. During dribbling, the ball may be thrown into the air if the ball touches the floor or another player before the player who touches it touches it again. If he first touches it, then it is a violation. The ball will be awarded to the opposing team.

3. Travel

Travel is considered an illegal movement of one leg outwards in any direction, keeping the ball on the playing field. This happens when the support leg, the leg that is held at the point of its contact with the floor, accidentally takes unnecessary steps.

4. Three seconds

The player must not remain in opponents. restricted zone for more than three seconds while his team is in abusive possession. This is a common violation of most centers and forwards. To avoid this, the player must put both feet on the floor outside the restricted area.

5. Twenty-four seconds

The player must take a picture for the field goal within twenty four (24) seconds. The ball must not only leave the player’s hand before the round-the-clock signal sounds, but also touch the ring or enter the basket. If not, this is called a twenty-four (24) second shot of the clock, and the ball will automatically be awarded to the opponent.

6. The ball is back in the backyard

As a rule, a player in abusive possession of a live ball cannot force the ball to be illegally returned to the backyard.

7. Fouls

Foul is the most common of violations in the game of basketball. This applies to unlawful personal contact with an opponent or unsporting behavior. It is often called a personal foul or technical foul. Any number of fouls can be called against the team. Regardless of punishment, every foul will be charged to the accused and will be punished accordingly.
