Some facts about artificial intelligence -2

Artificial intelligence is a concept that applies to people from all over the world and from all times. The ancient Greeks and Egyptians are represented in their myths and philosophical machines and artificial entities that possess qualities similar to the properties of people, especially in terms of thinking, reasoning and intelligence.

Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science related to the study and design of intelligent machines. The term "artificial intelligence", coined at a conference held in Dartmouth in 1956, belongs to John McCarthy, who defined it as the science of creating an intelligent machine.

Along with the development of electronic computers, back in the 1940s, this domain and concept, known as artificial intelligence and engaged in the creation of intelligent machines similar to people, more precisely, possessing such qualities as human properties, began to produce intelligent machines

The disciplines required by artificial intelligence are extremely diverse. Fields of knowledge, such as mathematics, psychology, philosophy, logic, engineering, social sciences, cognitive sciences and computer science, are extremely important and closely interrelated, extremely important when it comes to artificial intelligence. All these areas and sciences contribute to the creation of intelligent machines that have similarities with people.

The fields of application of artificial intelligence are extremely diverse, such as robotics, programming, training systems, planning, knowledge representation and reasoning, logic programming, natural language processing, pattern recognition, image understanding, computer vision, planning, expert systems, and many others.

The field of artificial intelligence has recorded a rapid and impressive evolution since 1956, and scientists have made great strides in creating intelligent machines that can partially fulfill what people are capable of.

Obviously, researchers have encountered and still face several problems in modeling human intelligence. An intelligent machine must have a number of characteristics and must meet some specific standards. For example, a person is able to solve a problem faster, using mostly intuitive sentences, rather than conscious judgments.

Another aspect that researchers have significantly analyzed is the knowledge representation, which reflects the knowledge about the world that intelligent machines must have to solve problems such as objects or categories of objects, properties of objects, relations between objects, relations such as relations between causes and consequences, circumstances, situations, etc.

Moreover, another problem for researchers in the field of artificial intelligence is that intelligent machines must be able to plan the problems that need to be solved, set a number of goals that must be achieved, to be able to make choices and predict actions, they must be able to learn, understand human languages and show emotions and be able to understand and predict the behavior of others.

Artificial intelligence is an extremely complex and extensive area of knowledge that raises many questions and generates many contradictions, but also solves many of the problems that technology and industry are facing today and can offer many answers in the future.
