Oasis of the Seas - tips on what to expect on board the most innovative cruise ship on board -2

It was so interesting to receive an invitation to the preliminary opening ceremony of a two-day trip aboard the new royal Caribbean oasis of the seas! After our flight during the flight, we proceeded to the presentation of baggage in order to find representatives of Royal Caribbean for our transfer to the ship. We were loaded on the bus after a very short wait and transferred to the new terminal 18 in Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale (the target was built for Oasis and Allure). We did receive from the curb to the ramp in 15 minutes, as advertised, and each terminal was very pleasant. While Oasis makes port calls, map scanning / security ALWAYS happens on the shoreline before re-landing to improve the landing process. (A great idea for a ship than first of all, so many people and another industry). After landing on the level of the Royal Embankment on deck 5 (the Royal Embankment in the Oasis is much more than the Royal Embankment, first presented on the Voyager class), we easily found our cabin, D2-11702, Superior Ocean View with a large balcony aft. In our cabin there was a very beautiful balcony and plenty of storage space inside. The standard cockpit shower had a lot of pressure and was more spacious than outside. It also had a footstool to facilitate shaving. Interestingly, vanity / pool is very low.

After our equipment settled in our cabin, we went to explore the Oasis of the Seas and find lunch. We stayed in the Solarium for all this to happen. Royal Caribbean seems to have taken on some of the replicas of the famous Celebrity & AquaSpa brand with whirlpools, healthy cafés, etc. Oasis includes a highly extended solarium bistro (translation “healthy buffet” day and a healthier alternative restaurant at night). In addition, there are cozy lounge chairs and even a calming flow. Visit the Solarium for a perfect retreat from some of the other areas inhabited by the hustle and bustle. In addition, don’t miss the Solarium Freshwater Pool and the two cantilevered whirlpools brought from the Freedom class; also visit the tanning bar for a drink. We had a wonderful dinner from a large selection in the bistro. (The Solarium Bistro offers more choices than a celebrity, the Millennium class, AquaSpa Cafe, no disrespect for the famous celebrity aboard). It was hard to remember that it was a “healthy buffet,” since there were so many delicious choices.

Next stop, we visited a new section of the attic on the 17/18 decks with their own private area. This concept seems to be borrowed from the NCL Palace area. The two-level Crown Loft suite was truly one of a kind. Is the Loft Suite area better than the NCL area? Answer: This is different. Then we visited Central Park, a place like no other in the sea. You can go through this floating park on deck 8, above the roof of the Royal Embankment, and stop for a drink, drink coffee or even pick up a lunch from the cafe "Park" to enjoy under the tree. The royal list of alternative restaurants, including 150 Central Park, is located in Central Park. Finally, you can also visit the Vintages wine bar. Do not rush to explore one area at a time, and sometimes plan a meal there.

Note: Mandatory safety training in Oasis is also the first in the industry. You do not have to wear live jackets in your cabin and go to your gathering station with belts stretching the stairs. Life jackets are located near the lifeboats located near your designated platform. In addition, an employee of Royal Caribbean guarantees your participation in this important security event by scanning your key card in the room. (You will see that more and more functions are loaded onto your card ... ala is an Disney-type experience.)

The next area is the Boardwalk. This seaside family entertainment complex is located aft on deck 6. Here is the first cruise carousel of the cruise industry in the sea with wooden carved wooden animals. Keep in mind that the Kingdom has very well scattered these three dining / shopping quarters with the Royal Promenade mussel on deck 5, Central Park, amidships on deck 8 and the Boardwalk, again, aft on deck 6. Keep in mind all these areas lie along the way to the opera house ahead and dining Opus aft. The boardwalk includes Johnny Rockets and the new Seafood Shack along with other "high glycemic" outlets. The harsh end of this area has one of my personal favorites, the all-new AquaTheater. AquaTheater has Oasis of Dreams, Royal Caribbean and Cirque O, inspired by synchronized swimming / diving extravaganzas with dives up to 72 feet.

Were your main dining rooms and main show theaters? Look at the Opal and Opus, the Opus dining room is the three high-end Voyager / Freedom decks, but without opening the giant center. In addition, each level is also built on concentric circles from the center. Therefore, even with such a large space in each of the three decks, you cannot simultaneously view multiple tables, which provides an almost intimate feeling of such a huge space. The Opal Theater also has three decks and contains the latest AV technology. The first night we saw an unannounced demonstration of the tribute to Abb at the Opala Theater. Although it was not a huge fan of Abba, the show was great and the theater was very comfortable. (Remember that the Royal goal is to have a multitude of restaurants and entertainment to keep passengers at ease, as they cannot have the entire ship, going from one dining room to one showroom on two seats and supplying Royal Caribbean.). Oasis also presents another first, online pre-order for shows, alternative restaurants and events. Royal is a good number of passengers trying to get to shows and events, such as lightning, rock walls and not to mention a multitude of alternative restaurants. So for cruisers who like to plan in advance all the details, you can do it now for Oasis. I did this for my own shows; just enter the room card key to scan at the door. Are you interested in pre-preparing your own events and lunches? Why not ask your planner about the trip to take care of the details for you?

Oasis has not forgotten about the little ones. Happy children are equal to happy holidays for parents! Royal Caribbean is once again changing the game with its youth zone, which is entered through a children's avenue on deck 14. This amazing facility has the largest kindergarten at sea, Royal Babies & Royal Tots, big enough to compete with day hospital on land. In addition to the compulsory teen dance clubs and hangout venues, Oasis has an adventure ocean theater show for kids! This amazing area is divided into different rooms by age group. This is the biggest youth complex I have ever performed on a ship!

After another great dinner in the Opus dining room, we went to see Hairspray. It was the best show I have ever seen on the Sea, better than a lot of shows on land. The quality of acting and singing was superb, along with a pit band that could rise from a scoring on the stage and even slide back and forth on the stage. The sets were great and the production values were amazing. Hairspray is a must-see. Shortly after this show, we went to the Oasis of Dreams in AquaTheater. While Royal was still developing the latest technical glitches, the show continued in a “rehearsal” format. I really enjoyed hearing comments and stories about what happened in this incredible production. The oasis of a dream must also be seen on the oasis of the seas.

Sunday, November 29th, the day of disembarkation - we left our cabin for one last breakfast at Windjammer. This buffet is not like other wind craftsmen, the decor is more like a luxury cruise liner, and at the stern stations a large flow. We went down to the Royal Embankment shortly before 9 am, but they were quickly put in the Opus room and told to sit down. What for? The second ladder was not workable and caused a delay from the ship. Hopefully Royal has it, and a couple of other very small details evolved in their great approach. After disembarking, we quickly went to our coach, connected with the airport FLL, and offered to say goodbye to the Oasis of the Seas. Well, this ship colossus didn't want us to forget it yet! The ship was still clearly visible at our Continental gates inside the airport. Verdict. This is an incredible ship with more offers than I can describe. However, this ship is the destination, since there are only a few ports in the Caribbean that can take this ship. Therefore, Oasis of the Seas is excellent for first-class cruisers, multiplayer family trips and past cruisers who have completely made the Caribbean and are looking for a new experience.
