In AEG airsoft the compression of a pistol is king. This is what the shell gives out, so it must be important ... right? Correctly. A cylinder is an area in which air is compressed before the barrel is injected. Larger cylinders allow a longer barrel to be used. Cylinders are usually rebuilt and usually do not need to be upgraded with better tools. If you have a cheaper weapon, you may find that you lose strength when you upgrade the barrel. If so, you can take a look at upgrading your cylinder. The piston compresses the air in the cylinder, forcing the air in front of it into the cylinder when it is forced forward by releasing the spring. This is essentially a flat gear. It is wound by the engine, and then driven forward by a spring. The piston is subject to incredible pressure. When choosing a piston, you will want to find one that can withstand pressure, but not too strict to cut other gears. The front of the piston is called the piston head and seals the air in the cylinder. The benefits of compression and stealth are the benefits of the update here. A high-quality piston head will help you get all the pressure you need and can usually reduce noise.
When it comes to upgrading mechanisms, there will always be a sector, bevel and cylindrical gears, which are discussed as they are the main gears across the board. Steel gears are your best bet, and you can usually get them with both high speed and high torque.
Sleeves hold gears in places and are turning mechanisms. If they break, there is a good chance that your gears will undress. When you are planning to upgrade your bushings, think big. Most guns come with plastic 6 mm bushings and upgrades; you can get up to 8 mm metal bushings that will produce more durability, as well as higher firing speed and resistance to torque. Keep in mind that when upgrading your sleeves in order to think about hull size, you may have to get a larger hull to accommodate the size of your new sleeves.
