We received our Sciphone i68 + in a nice glossy box with photos of the phone on it. Our clone, Scellphone i68 + was delivered in a simple brown cardboard box. But as they say, you do not eat the box.
Both phones come with headphones, car and wall chargers, 2 batteries and a user manual.
Sciphone accessories are packaged in a bag with a sticker that says "Original Sciphone Accessory" with a serial number, while Scellphone accessories are packaged in simple, unmarked transparent bags.
The wall charger has a built-in battery slot in which the Scellphone can only charge its batteries when the phone is turned on. The car charger is supplied for Sciphone with its own cable, where, since the Scellphone must exchange its cable for the car and the wall charger and USB connection.
Overall, Sciphone accessories are better built.
What also catches your eye when comparing the contents of two boxes is the color of the batteries. Sciphone batteries are white, others are gold. To check their relative capacity, we left both phones on standby next to each other, connected to the same operator for several days: our Sciphone worked for 185 hours and our Scellphone for 240 hours. We have to admit that the user interface is more pleasant and ergonomic on ScellPhone.
Most of the functions on both phones are the same: dual SIM, quadrant, GPRS / WAP, Bluetooth, USB, microSD card slot, camera, digital camera, e-book for viewing.
Sciphone adds: agenda, call recording, melodic builder, and he can wake you up with the help of a radio, MP3, or an audio call melody.
Even if both phones offer the same multimedia features, the quality of delivery is completely different. Indeed, it is impossible to change the resolution of photos on ScellPhone, which offers a regrettable definition of 320x480 pixels, while the original i68 + offers several levels of definition up to 640x480. This is even worse for a digital camera on Scellphone: the video stops recording after 20 seconds and displays the following message: Storage is too slow or busy.
For audio, the main difference is in the quality of the speakers, and here the Sciphone remains the best.
Both phones provide Java functions, so you can install new applications. Please note that Scellphone comes preloaded with Opera Mini V4.2, while Sciphone comes with a very limited standard WAP browser. Therefore, if you want to enjoy watching or using email services, you will have to install Opera Mini.
On the hardware side, both phones are quite similar, they use the same processor (MTK MT6225) and the same types of components.
Which one to choose?
This is an eternal question, well; It all depends on your needs and budget.
Sciphone has a slightly better quality, it comes with a warranty from the manufacturer and applications that provide more settings or options, but they look a bit strict.
Scellphone has a much better user interface. Its price is also more interesting, you save at least $ 15. But do not count on still and video cameras.
