Evaluation of the roof tiles allows us to estimate the number of tiles to order when laying a new roof. Either a professional roof estimator, or the contractor will tell you the number and number of tiles you need for this job, after taking appropriate measurements of your roof. There are several ways to do this. Here we look at more common methods.
First, let's understand how shingleles are packaged and sold. Shingles are sold in bundles. For example, take a 3-tongued shingled bundle. Three of these beams, as a rule, cover one square of the roof. Roofing space is a term used in the roofing industry to refer to 100 square feet. Pebbles are packaged in plastic or paper and can be easily transported by one person. Decking that weighs more may be packaged with less tiles per square roof. Thus, you will need more packs per square square.
Estimating the roof tiles will help us find out how much of the tiles or beams you need to cover the roof. For this you can use two methods. The measurement method is one and the other is the sheet counting method. In the measurement method, you or someone else needs to climb onto the roof and measure each plane on which the tiles will pass. Suppose you have a rectangular roof, then it is easy to measure the length and width and simply multiply both to get the required area.
For sloping roofs and other shapes, it is a little more difficult to get straight to the square. You need to adopt indirect estimation methods. First, measure the floor area suitable for the canopy. Next, for the slopes you have different areas multipliers. These numbers, when multiplied by the floor area, give an estimate of the roof area. Depending on whether your roof is small, medium or steep, there are 3 different slopes.
On the other hand, the sheet counting method uses a simpler method than the actual roof measurement. It uses sheet panels that have standard 4 * 8 measures. The roof is simply covered with these sheets, and then the number of sheets needed to cover the roof is counted. In some parts of the roof panels must be cut to accommodate the shape of the roof. To get to the roof area, fold all panels and remaining after cuts on the remaining panels. This is a much faster and easier way to get to the irregular roof area.
In addition, using the sheet method, all you have to do is count the number of panels, and you can order tile sets based on this number of panels. This is a simple and easy way to get to the area. It can be a rough method, but very effective and fast.
Another method that is often used and works for houses with old roofs is to simply count the number of tiles on the roof. Just count the number of rows from the eaves to the ridge. Also count the number of tabs from the edges to the eaves. Each tab is 1 foot long. The exhibit area of each course is 5 inches. Multiplying numbers gives you the necessary area of shingleles.
