Former Disney Cast member created Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide to help families save money at Walt Disney World. She also wanted to give you tips and methods to maximize your time and maximize the impact of your vacation in Orlando
We have all seen these e-books all over the Internet, asserting that there are secrets that no one else knows or promises the world. I have spent my money on some of them myself in the past.
However, I was very interested to find out if you can really save money at Disney World, as she claims. Given that I live an hour from Disney and I am 2 years old, I thought that soon I would need to learn these secrets in the coming years.
With that said, I bought an e-book and downloaded it from the download page.
When I open an e-book, I’ll say that my initial response was due to the length of the book, 140 pages (40 pages are reader comments and tips, sites, forms, additional tips, etc.), Some people may like long ebooks, but not me.
I like it when they hide to the bottom, leaving all the fluff. I also do not like reading on the computer screen for hours.
However, the more I read the book, the more I am satisfied. I came across a lot of tips and ideas in which I did not know.
Positive
The e-book is very comprehensive, providing you with information regarding saving money on accommodation, food, tickets and souvenirs.
It even gives you information about nearby hospitals and provides forms that will help you keep track of bookings, confirmations and other important information for your trip.
The guide begins by discussing ways to save money on housing. This includes accommodation in one of the Disney resorts, nearby hotels or in hotels.
Accommodation will probably be one of the biggest travel expenses. The author explains well your various blocking options and how to find the best deal.
She even describes in detail the tables with different rates depending on different seasons (peak season, peak season, holiday season, etc.),
One of the strategies that she explains in this section can save you hundreds if you choose one of the more expensive resorts in Disney. This is associated with a little work and some risk, but it seems worth it.
I could also see how you could save money using another of the tips that she pointed out in the manual. She explains how to find rental properties and the pros and cons of staying on vacation compared to staying at a hotel.
The author then proceeds to various ways to save money on your tickets. Hands down one of the best ways to save money on 1-2 day tickets with Disney by attending a timeshare presentation.
But most people don’t want to spend their precious vacation time fighting off high pressure sellers for 2-3 hours.
The author well explains other ways to save money on tickets. But don't expect to find free or even $ 10 Disney tickets anywhere without attending a timeshare presentation.
You can most effectively use the author's methods in several day tickets with added options, such as Park Hopper (the ability to travel to different Disney parks using one ticket) and the “No Expiration Date” option.
Although the author does a good job of providing a lot of useful information, there are some things that I think will make the manual better.
NEGATIVES
I think that the presentation of information could be improved and should be reduced.
I have already expressed my contempt for long e-books.
This may be my short attention span, but I thought the book was too long and boring in some places.
Also in the entire e-book there are areas of large blocks of text. Dividing this large block into paragraphs would make this information easier to read on the screen and more susceptible to scanning when viewing specific information.
TOTAL
Overall, I would say that Disney Secrets is worth the money. You can find some tips on your own by clearing the web for hours on the forums, subscribing to newsletters and other labor-intensive methods.
You can do this and you can find ways to save money. However, I would recommend investing in a guide and using it to start the jump when planning a trip. The guide will no doubt pay for the information inside.
After all, all money is money, and all children are ready to visit the happiest place on earth.
