With the semester coming to an end, a number of students on campus, including myself, are starting to think about graduating in December. Release is a time for happiness and celebration. What better way to celebrate family and friends than at one of the many restaurants in Bloomington-Normal? There are two universities in Bloomington-Normal that will hold winter banquet ceremonies, so I recommend if you plan to have dinner at a restaurant with your family this weekend to start thinking about your plans. In this post I will talk about some solid restaurants for those of you who want to take your families to eat at the weekend.
Every family is different when it comes to eating habits. Nevertheless, I believe that the weekend is a time for a pleasant, but cozy restaurant. I highly recommend dining in the restaurant, which takes orders, as this weekend it will definitely be occupied by the city. Some recommendations for restaurants that I have include Tony Roma, Destiihl, Medici, Anju Above, Biaggi or Baxter.
Tony Roma - This Steakhouse restaurant is a new restaurant that has become a huge hit in the Bloomington-Normal community. I shared some of my thoughts about this restaurant in a previous post. Tony Roma is a casual restaurant, but with an elegant atmosphere. The restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes, but they specialize in steaks and seafood. All family members are guaranteed to find something from the menu that they like. The atmosphere is sophisticated, but family members of all ages are welcome. If you want a drink to celebrate your special day, there is a full bar with reasonable drink prices. Tony Roma takes reservations, so call and make yours today!
Destihl: Destihl is a unique restaurant with a wide selection of dishes on the menu. For beer lovers, Destihl is your place. The restaurant has its own brewery, where they brew their own craft beer. They always have a diverse craft beer, which depends on the season. Besides the selection of drinks, the handmade menu is phenomenal. Chefs support local food, so they try to use recipes that support and use products that are grown locally in the area. Their salads, soups and sandwiches are just a few menu items that I like. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very lively and upbeat. I would not find Destihl an elegant restaurant, so if you are looking for a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, I recommend checking out Destihl with family and friends! See what Destihl has to offer here.
Medici; Conveniently located in Uptown Normal, Medici is a great place for family and friends at the weekend. However, due to the convenient location near the campus, I highly recommend placing an order for this hot spot. Like the Destihl, the Medici has a wide variety of craft beers. They offer American food and specialize in their pizza toss. The atmosphere in the restaurant is exotic. In the center of the restaurant there is a tree that makes the interior unique. Conveniently located near the center of the campus, you can invite your graduates there before or after the opening ceremony. The restaurant also has many nearby shops, bars and dessert joints to which you can also take your guests. This place is very friendly, so make your orders today!
Anju Above: Located in the city center of Bloomington, Anju Above offers a wide selection of dishes that are grown from Ephiphany farms, also located in Bloomington. Anju Above is committed to creating a quick, fresh and enjoyable experience for its guests. They specialize in sushi and pizza. Although it may seem like an interesting and varied combination of products, I am a huge fan of choice. The restaurant also has a full bar. Anju Above employees dedicate you to satisfying dining. Biaggi: Biaggi is one of, if not the best, upscale Italian restaurants in Bloomington-Normal. Biaggi offers classic pasta dishes as well as pasta specialties. However, their menu is not limited to pasta. They offer signatures, as well as steaks and chops. The restaurant serves a wide selection of wines, as well as specialty cocktails. To celebrate your special day, try nutella shell biscuits! This is one of my favorite desserts of Bloomington-Norma. Biaggi welcomes visitors of all ages, however, if you decide to attract young children, make sure that they are under control. This is a dark, high-class restaurant where you can count on couples who love a pleasant day. While the atmosphere is aloof, the prices of Biaggi are very reasonable. Baxter: Located on the east side of Bloomington, Baxter is one of the best restaurants in town. The atmosphere inside Baxter is soothing and beautiful for socializing with those with whom you dine. The restaurant has an American grill, which serves phenomenal sandwiches, salads and steaks. They have a full bar offering a wide selection of beer, wine and cocktails. If you dine with a hands-free party, I recommend choosing one of the other restaurants. Baxter is more elegant than some others. However, if you want to satisfy your grandfather or grandmother or want to chat with family and friends, Baxter is your place!
Let's take stock of some of the Bloomington-Norma restaurants that will jump over the weekend. If you are interested in an optimistic, lively atmosphere, I suggest Medici or Destihl. Both restaurants are well lit and allow you to talk with guests. In addition, both of these spots have a great beer on the tap. If you go for a more elegant, upscale location, I suggest Baxter or Biaggi. These spots have dimly lit lights and are on a fancy side. Want a unique atmosphere with unique food? Check out Anju Above. Overall, I believe that Tony Roma offers the best full package of services. They have a large selection of meat, and the atmosphere is complex, but not too fanciful.
