Suzuki AE 50 Scooter Story -2

Suzuki AE 50 is a classic scooter design, first seen on UK roads in 1990. Powered by a basic two-stroke gasoline engine with a capacity of 50 cubic meters. See, the AE 50 was a solid and reliable ride that remained in production for 6 years. During this time, it was exported to most parts of the globe, becoming popular as no frills.

The AE 50 was a single gearbox that reduced the training curve for new riders. He was also very vigorous with a tiny 50cc engine. See, providing 6.5 hp at 6500 rpm, which is actually comparable to 80cc scooters for the same time! A rider could reach maximum speeds of 60 mph with the Suzuki AE 50, although tiny wheels and a low slit limited the use of the streets. Of course, a single-gear system and an invigorating engine means that the AE50 was never as modest as a comparable moped.

The design of the Suzuki AE 50 is pretty standard for the classic 1990s; sharp, straight lines dominate the style. On the technical side, it comes with a basic set of sensors and warning lights. If you are looking at a used AE 50, keep in mind that the odometer tilts 9999 km. The existing moped is sometimes supplied with non-standard rear-view mirrors, as the factory setting was rather narrow in terms of safety.

The other part, which sometimes changed, was a mono-seat. The standard seat on the Suzuki AE 50 had an unusual, narrow shape that was uncomfortable for some owners. Under the seat, the owners had a small storage area where they could hold a folded umbrella or a couple of books. The seat also needed to be raised each time the AE 50 needed a tank. The small 2.75-liter tank also meant that the Suzuki AE50 remained strictly within the distance of the gas station. The oil had its own separate tank, which meant no trouble getting the right mixture.

Overall, the Suzuki AE 50 was intended for a small boring scooter, and that was good until production stopped in 1999. Long-term owners report several problems with bicycles that are serviced regularly. Older surviving models may need to change exhaust gases, since this part is most exposed to elements and damage. A good parts dealer should connect you to genuine parts that are difficult to find in the general market. Thanks to its convenient handling and fast driving, the Suzuki AE 50 can still tame the streets of your city.
