Mercedes Benz spark plugs for proper engine start -2

Today, Mercedes Benz is one of the best-selling car brands in the world. He is known for his innovations, especially when it comes to the safety of his cars. To be able to keep the Mercedes Benz always on top form, it must be properly maintained. Of course, we can start with the maintenance of its parts. Take, for example, a Mercedes Benz spark plug.

A spark plug or if you are British, you can call it a sparkling cork, this is an electrical device located in the cylinder head of an internal combustion engine. Compressed aerosol gasoline is ignited with a spark.

It is assumed that the Mercedes Benz spark plug will provide three basic elements so that they can initiate the combustion process. First, it seals the combustion chamber. Secondly, it conducts the spark that is generated in the ignition coil into the combustion chamber, and provides a gap for that spark to jump over it. And thirdly, it conducts heating, which it raises during the combustion process, to the cylinder head and into the cooling system.

Mercedes Benz traffic jam consists of eight parts. These are terminals, ribs, insulator, metal case, side electrode or ground electrode, seals, insulator tip and central electrode.

Electrical characteristics is the term used for the ability of a spark plug to carry electrical energy and convert fuel into working energy. In addition, the ignition system must supply sufficient voltage to distort the spark plug gap.

Thermal performance, on the other hand, is the term used for the temperature that the spark plug ignites. It should be low enough to prevent pre-ignition, but high enough to prevent contamination.

The internal environment of the combustion chamber can be affected at the end of the firing of the spark plug. The proper operation of the combustion chamber may be indicated by a light brown discoloration of the tip of the spark plug, while the malfunction may be indicated by other conditions.

The Mercedes Benz spark plug may be hot or cold. The hot type has a large surface exposed to combustion gases. It quickly dissipates heat, and its fire part heats up quickly. On the other hand, the cold type has a smaller surface exposed to combustion gases, slowly dissipates heat and has a fire that heats up slowly. Whether the spark plug is hot or cold is known as the heat range of the spark plug.

The heat range of a spark plug has many factors that can affect it. Some of them are the types of materials used, the length of the insulator and the surface area of the plug that is open in the combustion chamber.

What are the most common problems when it comes to your Mercedes Benz spark plugs? First, it is detonation, which is actually the worst enemy of the spark plug. Light detonation may be indicated by small black or gray spots on the nose of the spark plug, while a certain detonation may be indicated by insulators that are cracked or chipped. The spark plug is damaged by both elevated temperatures and the accompanying shock wave or concussion. Secondly, it is pre-ignition, which is defined as the ignition of the air-fuel mixture before the pre-set ignition time stamp. Common indications are molten center, grounded electrodes or molten insulator. One reason for this may be a spark plug that is too hot. This can seriously damage not only the spark plug, but also take the valves and brake pistons. Pre-ignition also causes detonation. Thirdly, it is pollution that usually occurs when the temperature of the spark plug tip is insufficient to burn carbon, fuel, oil, or other deposits. Contamination may be wet or dry. Common indicators are soft, black, garden, dry deposits for dry fouling and black oil coating for wet contamination. Fourth - misfire. It is said that the spark plug was missed when sufficient voltage was not delivered to extinguish all the fuel present in the combustion chamber at the proper moment of the power stroke. A spark plug can deliver a weak spark for various reasons: a defective coil, too much compression with an incorrect plug gap, dry polluted or wet spark plugs, and an insufficient ignition time.
