The Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson has been called The Zen Master for many years because of his approach to the game, his bizarre manners and what he says.
But his unique style separated him from all other NBA legends. It all started back in 1990, when Jackson was the head coach of the Chicago Bulls. He honed his approach to the game, teaching the great Michael Jordan six NBA titles, including two three peats, and set a record for winning in the regular season in 1995.
There are key elements of the Jackson style that are a real difference from other NBA coaches. Coincidence or not, Jackson holds the most coaching rings, at eleven, and a twelve-pack, perhaps, will appear in June next year for his Lakers.
What are the elements of the Jackson style?
Let's look at the keys to Jackson to prepare and allow the Lakers to pick up another NBA trophy.

Jackson has Lakers mediums before each game. Sounds silly? Try might. Like everything with Jackson, there is a goal. And this is not something new for Jackson and his coaching style. He had Michael Jordan and Chicago Bulls.
In principle, meditation involves quieting the mind, finding a state of relaxation amid chaos, both internal and external. According to Jackson, this must be deserved. He wants his players to calm down, especially before the biggest game in his career.
PREPARE
Jackson is a basketball addict. He lived for over forty years. He did it all, snuck from the lower sports areas to the top. He did it all. But, when it comes to this, he is truly a tactician.
He trains his Lakers as much as any other coach. It is surprising that he only won the coach of the year only once. The only one !! We are sure that the root has lost, not the superiority.
This is another stunning stat. In the series, which is based on the settings, Jackson usually gets the upper hand. He will always add a new wrinkle, trigger a game for someone like Ron Artest, or change his defensive tasks.
EXECUTE
Jackson preaches execution like a southern minister, preaching hell and fire. He is adamant about accuracy and flow. His triangle protection requires this level of detail. And it shows.
In the victories, the Lakers' chances are buzzing like an old muscular car. In casualties, the first area that any fan can point out to failure was offensive.
PROTECT
All focused on the great players that Jackson coached, or on his classic crime. But he is a protector. Jordan Bulls won titles because they could defend themselves. Shaq / Kobe Lakers stopped people. This current iteration of the Lakers is at the top of the league defense rating.
POISE
Perhaps this is due to the whole of meditation, but Jackson predicts his coaching style to balance. That is why you will not see that he calls a huge number of timeouts, at least in the regular season. He likes to say that he wants his players to solve their problems themselves.
This teaches balance, as the Lakers will not falter even on the massive tracks of the other team. Jackson will sit and watch the action. Rarely will he overcome a wave, calling a time out. This is a unique style, and many Lakers fans can hear the cries on their TV for T, but Jackson has victories to support it.
SUCCESS
It all comes down to this. Jackson coached in 13 NBA finals. It's hard to even write. He has eleven rings. Everyone wants to play it for great players, and that's true.
But remember, Jordan will not do anything until Jackson. Shaq and Kobe could not even get out of the playoffs of the Western Conference. And, Kobe experienced his only losing season as a player without his Zen Master.
Everyone wants to say that the Lakers wins or loses what Kobe does. And this is true in most cases. But when games are counted, so is coaching.
Jackson has an advantage over all other NBA coaches. Call him what you want, but I will call him who he is: the best NBA coach.
The media likes to position him as a Zen master, and have fun playing with him. But Jackson is more drawn to the Indian ways. So he is the Lakers # 39; The shaman, their Medical Man, preparing them for the mystery of the reign. Ponder this.
