 Hair extension methods - which type is best for you and how to choose the right stylist -2

Before you begin to engage in hair extensions, do your research. You invest good money, and it is important to follow these rules when choosing the right stylist;

1. Most respected stylists will offer a free consultation to discuss your suitability for installation. Use this opportunity to ask any questions or concerns.
2. Ask to look at the samples and ask where the hair is. There are many different types of hair, the most popular of which is Indian remy (correct cuticle). Hair that is not a regular cuticle will be dull and confused. If the price looks too cheap, it usually means hair too!
3. Your stylist must provide proof of his work - be careful if they do not have pictures before and after.
4. Ensure that the stylist is a professionally trained hairdresser - hair extensions can be perfect, but bad cutting can be disastrous.
5. Your stylist should explain how to maintain your new locks and provide 4-6 weekly maintenance checks.

There are two main methods of applying hair extensions - Weft and Strand by Strand. Here we explain some of the popular application methods that will help you decide which type is best for you and your lifestyle.

STRAND BY STRAND:

Hot Fusion : Small weight distributed cores of pre-bonded extenders are attached one after the other to an equal size of your own hair using polymer, wax or keratin protein and heat. Bonds are melted with your natural hair using a heat connector and rolled, but still warm, to form a small cylindrical shape. Bonds are removed with a tool for dissolving and removing. Suitable for most hair types, except for weak, brittle hair. Lasts 3-5 months.

Ultrasonic Cold Synthesis (CFT): Small weight distributed cores of pre-bonded extensions are attached one after the other to an equal size using keratin protein and ultrasonic waves instead of heat. Bundles soften and hermetically closed on natural hair. Bonds are removed with a solvent and oil-based solvent removal agent. Suitable for all hair types. Lasts 3-5 months.

Mono fiber: Monofilament extenders are applied to your natural hair in tiny cuts, using C2 technology, which produces gentle, controlled heat and makes a tiny invisible seal, keeping the extensions in place at the roots. No binding agents are used and customers can be easily removed at home. Suitable for all hair types. Lasts about 3 months.

Micro-Ring / Micro Links : Small, weight strands of pre-attached hair with a fingertip are attached to a thread with hair of the same size as your hair — using a latch fixing tool, your natural hair is rolled through a small metal ring and pinched flat at the root. To facilitate removal of the ring using special pliers, it is easy to remove. Suitable for most types of hair, except fragile or very thin hair. Lasts 3-5 months

Heat Shrink Tubing / Heat Shrink Tubing: The light weight of the distributed hair extension segments is attached one by one to small areas of your own hair using small plastic tubes. To glue them to the body, they attach heat to the hair at the root. Shrinkage is removed by reheating the bond and oil-based solvent to remove any excess polymer. Suitable for most types of hair, except fragile or very thin hair. Lasts 3-5 months

Micro hair : Method of application for hair extensions is very popular in African hair. Small segments of loose hair are finely braided into parts of your own hair, using a tiny triple strand. Due to the complexity of this procedure, it may take 10 hours. Lasts about 3 months.

WIND HAIR:

Knitting / Interlacing / Track: Thanks to this method, your natural hair is braided into paths or corn - a specially designed needle and colored thread are used for sewing wets for hair extensions through braids. Alternatively, ducks can be connected to the braids. Lasts up to 3 months.

Clip-in The hair wefts are cut to size, and the clips are sewn to the weft for easy attachment to natural hair. A temporary solution for a special case or can be used for extra thickness. The clip should take minutes to attach and remove in an instant. Suitable for all hair types and can be reused. Lasts: 1 day-5 days

Micro weft The wefts are attached to the natural hair in the threads with the help of adhesive bonding glue or for an alternative that does not contain glue with micro rings. Can be reapplied. Durability: 2-4 weeks

Preliminary tape / Seamless: Natural hair is sandwiched between two transparent polyurethane shells. tape ducks. Mild heat is used to seal the weft. Thanks to unimpeded comfort, the extension cords put forward on the film can be worn on the head above the head and are virtually invisible. Lasts about 1 month depending on quality.
